Company Overview
iSpecimen Inc. operates a sophisticated technological platform that effectively bridges the gap between life science researchers and crucial human biological materials. Its proprietary cloud-based system empowers scientists to efficiently locate and access a vast array of biospecimens—such as biofluids, tissues, and living cells—as well as connect with potential study subjects, all sourced from a global network of healthcare providers, including hospitals, laboratories, biobanks, and blood centers. The company develops and manages iSpecimen Marketplace, an innovative online hub that strategically links medical researchers requiring access to subjects, samples, and pertinent data with organizations that hold these invaluable resources. iSpecimen's clientele primarily includes biopharmaceutical firms, in vitro diagnostics companies, and governmental and academic research institutions. The company, established in 2009, is headquartered in Lexington, Massachusetts.
