These exchange-traded notes (ETNs) are constructed to provide daily returns that are three times the performance of an underlying ETF. Consequently, they carry substantially higher risk compared to investments with longer-term objectives and are generally inappropriate for those with a 'buy and hold' strategy or investors intending to hold them for more than a single day.
